There are many 80s films that are remembered to be iconic and fun. There are others that were dramas and changed how folks thought about vital issues in the world. Here are a couple of the films of the eighties that modified the world and the sector of film making.
The Breakfast Club : Director John Hughes put kids on the map with his bequest of classic films that are continuing to be appreciated today. The club of teens on a saturday detention in a school library dug deep into the center of many of us that we're all different but we continue to all want to be accepted. Through humour and music Hughes showed us that we are all a little bit the same underneath.
Back to the Future Trilogy : Take the final automobile, a curious kid and a crazy inventor and you've got the trilogy of Back to the Future. The story is simple yet complex at the same time. If you mess with your future you affect it. This series of 80s movies are still enjoyed and make us all wish we had a time machine made out of a De-Lorean.
Indiana Jones : After Star Wars came the Indiana Jones trilogy on its coat tails. The inspiring mild mannered Professor Jones lives the life of a daredevil who showed clearly that artefacts and true grit toppled the malignant minds of gluttony. The 80s pictures live on today for our pleasures, as well as a fun ride in a theme park.
Die Hard : Still considered a Xmas movie to some testosterone driven people this 80s film modified the way that you look at your spouse's company office party. It's a true action flick establishing that one man can contribute and save everybody from terrorists with the aid of some slogans folk still use today.
Top Gun : Since this 80s film broke out in the 80s folk have been feeling the necessity for speed ever since . This film also rekindled the need for youngsters to join the military to emulate the characters they saw in this classic film. It was a generation breaker in the way music was employed to fuel a story as well and had men singing to girls in bars again.
Ghostbusters : In my mind a unconditional classic 80s film. Whether you have a belief in ghosts or not it was fun to see the Stay-Puff Marshmallow man trying to take out NY City. These 3 nerds from a varsity who saved the world will be remembered for their wit of jokes that changed how we look at physics re a Twinkie. For instance, where do these stairs go? They go up.
Other top flicks of the 1980s idiom can also be remembered e. G the Goonies, Stand by Me and Beetlejuice. And who can forget Bill and Ted's fantastic excitement. 80s pictures are still classics today and enjoyed by many new people each year. They have stood the test of time. Even if the CGI effects could be outdated in our arena of CGI, their stories live on and are relate-able to current and generations yet to come. I for one anticipate all my fave 80s films being remade so I'm able to say the originals were better.
